Crocodile bag with fraudulent certificate

The seller provided a third-party certificate as supporting documentation.

A rare Hermès crocodile bag priced at $180,000 was offered to a private client by a personal stylist.

The seller provided a third-party certificate as supporting documentation. Due to the value of the transaction, the buyer requested independent verification before collection. The bag was submitted to Authenticated by Aureon for assessment.

After physical examination and four-expert review, the bag was confirmed to be inauthentic. The certificate provided had been fraudulently produced using the visual format of a known provider.

A full written report was issued, and our expert opinion helped the buyer recover funds before the bag changed hands.

Outcome: High-value loss prevented through early intervention.
